For Nabunturanons, December is not only a month of celebration of Christ's birth. Here in Nabunturan December is also a thanks giving month for the bountiful harvest throughout the year. Simballay Festival a five-days annual festivity of the Municipality of Nabunturan celebrated every second week of December. 28 different barangay's of Nabunturan showcase their different agricultural  products, traditions and talented people. One of the most highlighted events of this festival that really attract the attention of tourists is the lighting of the booths of the participating barangay's.   Even thou this Nameless Daoist did not witness the other events like the Open Christmas Carol Contest, Pista sa Ani featuring "Beast-tasting Lechon Contest" and Garbo ng Nabunturan just by looking and listening to the mood and feedback of my fellow townspeople you can say that this celebration is really successful. HAPPY 27TH SIMBALLAY FESTIVAL!
